This course covers an introduction to the concepts of the traditional Chinese exercise system called Qigong that millions of people practice in China and all around the world everyday. Similar to Tai Chi which is a martial art, Qigong is the medical exercises to maintain superior health in the body.
Qigong has been practiced for thousands of years in China and is renowned for maintaining health and longevity. It has been a hidden secret and now the Western World is acknowledging its profound effects upon the human body and health.
In this course you will be introduced to a modified version of the famous classical Shi Ba Shi Taiji Qigong system and the medical applications for each exercise.
It is easy and simple to perform and requires no prior knowledge of Qigong and, it is suitable for everyone to practice.
Included in the course are instructional videos of each of the 18 exercises in the Shi Ba Shi Taiji Qigong system which includes the medical applications and benefits of each exercise, pdf handouts of the exercises that you can download and a full practice sequence at the end of the course for you to follow for your daily practice.
To learn this system it will take you half an hour each day focusing on one exercise at a time and then slowly building up to a complete daily practice of all 18 exercises which takes about 45 minutes.
The course is structured with an instructional video for each exercise. There are safety and training guidelines included to help you get the most out of the course, that explains the best and most efficient ways to practice.

To learn this system it will take you half an hour each day focusing on one exercise at a time and then slowly buiding up to a complete daily practice of all eight exercises which takes about 35 minutes.

Standing Qigong static postures -
Developing Stillness, Peace and Strength.
This is an advanced level course which will give you a practice and information on the movements of energy in your body and the energetic pathways (meridians).
The Spiritual concepts for these exercises is also explained.
Zhan Zhuang Qigong works on developing the sensation of "opposing forces," as well it gives the practitioner an understanding and an experience of one's central equilibrium.
This set of exercises will also help you to have a sensitivity to specific areas of tension in the body and gives you a practice and guide on how to relieve these tensions.
Zhan Zhuang has a strong connection with Traditional Chinese Medicine and this practice is a way of removing blockages in Qi flow in the body's meridian system.
Any habitual tensions or tissue shortening (or lengthening) is normalised by the practice, and the body regains it's natural ability to function optimally. It is thought that a normalised body will be less prone to muscular-skeletal medical conditions and dysfunctions and it is also believed that
Zhan Zhuang, when practiced for developing relaxation, will lead to a beneficial calming effect of the heart and mind.

I am the last known remaining teacher of the Jen Gee Dao Tai Kit Kuen Monastery School Principles and Philosophy, originally from Southern China.
During my 30 years of both treating people in my TCM Acupuncture Clinic and practicing and teaching Taiji (Tai chi) and Qigong, I have learnt what true health in a human physical body really looks like and how to achieve it. I believe if you really want to be healthy then you need to see your life, the world and why you are here in a different way.
Prior to studying TCM, Qigong and Taiji, I spent 16 years in the New Zealand Army and seven of those in the NZSAS (New Zealand Special Forces).
I am also a husband, a father of three children and a grandfather. I love traveling the world with my wife, Josephine, and my young son, Rayner - meeting new people and experiencing their cultures and countries.
